Alex Jadad, MD DPhil

Founder, Centre for Digital Therapeutics

Dr. Jadad is a physician, innovator, entrepreneur, and philosopher. His mission is to create the future of medicine and health. He leads initiatives with heads of state, multinational companies, communities, entrepreneurs and scientists from all over the planet, accompanying them during critical decisions in periods of maximum uncertainty. 
He holds a medical degree, with postgraduate studies in anesthesiology, intensive care, pain relief and end of life care; a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Oxford in the UK; and honorary doctorates in laws and arts.
He founded the Centre for Digital Therapeutics in Toronto, Canada, a simulator of the future of the healthcare system. A pioneer of evidence-based medicine, end-of-life care, and digital health, he also created the Jadad Scale, the most widely used tool to assess clinical trial quality. He has authored 12 books and hundreds of scientific publications. In 2023, he co-authored 'Healthy No Matter What: How humans are hardwired to adapt'.
