Ou NextMed Health Innovation Lab is a showcase and expo(nential) lab for the most promising companies and innovations that are set to revolutionize the practice of health and medicine and transform the healthcare and the biomedical industry.
Curated through invitation, nomination, and application, 60 cutting-edge, from early-stage to well established companies are chosen to be part of our future-forward curriculum with hands-on learning and demonstrations, mixed in with leading established companies and technology demos. A selection of Innovation Lab startups compete for a MEDy Award, the five winners then present their companies on the mai stage to the full NextMed Health program.
Who Is The Lab For?
The Healthcare Innovation Lab is an exciting platform for a diverse range of innovative companies where they can highlight their novel innovations in front of 600+ healthcare leaders. Includes a virtual Innovation Lab element where online participants can discover and connect with the startups during and after the event. The winners of the MEDy Awards present their solutions from the main stage.
Why Is It Important?
Early stage startups to global, established companies are changing the world, and no place has more potential for improvement than in healthcare and biomedicine. Having organizations highlight and demonstrate their innovative solutions is a valuable part of the NextMed Health experience.
When Is It?
NextMed Health 2025 takes place on March 30- April 2nd with the Healthcare Innovation Lab open March 30 (3pm)-April 1st.

The Healthcare Innovation Lab takes place in the historic Crown Room at the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego, California
The MEDy Awards
A subset of the early-stage startups competes in the annual MEDy Awards Competition (M.edical E.ntrepreneur & D.isruption Awards) and then pitch to the full NextMed Health community.

Meet the 2023 MEDy Award Winners
A subset of the early-stage startups compete in the annual MEDy Awards Competition (M.edical E.ntrepreneur & D.isruption Awards).
The MEDy Awards recognize startups developing products and creating healthcare solutions that are industry-changing innovations.
Each MEDy Award winner will also demo their company from the main stage.
Startups are eligible to win one of the following MEDy Award categories: Convergence, One to Watch, Outstanding Pitch, Most Disruptive, and Most Likely to Scale.
